Relive the history of two iconic venues this October, as knowledgeable and experienced guides take you through the unique and awe-inspiring venues, with over 266 years of combined history at the heart of Blackpool’s entertainment scene.

Blackpool Grand Theatre

Blackpool Grand Theatre has always been in the vanguard of development in theatre: it was the first theatre in Blackpool to be totally electric; it was the first to have a fully cantilevered circle eliminating the need for pillars to give every seat a clear view; and Matcham invented the crash doors that enabled a quick evacuation of the building.

Stand on the raked stage and observe the cantilevered tiers of circles, boxes and pit – and the complete visibility of every seat in this atmospheric house. See the secrets of the great stage and take in Blackpool’s hidden gem, learn about flamboyant architect Frank Matcham and explore the warren of staircases that lead to the stars, dressing rooms and beyond.

Winter Gardens Blackpool

First opened in 1878, the Winter Gardens Blackpool welcomes over 1.3 million visitors annually from over 62 different nations, attending one of the up to 400 events held annually.

Relive the history of the iconic venue, as our knowledgeable and experienced guides introduce you to the rich and varied history venue across its many spaces housed over 4.9 acres including the world-famous Empress Ballroom, the unique Spanish Suites and many more.

All money raised from the combined tours will be donated to the venues respective charities.
