A giant gin party is coming back to Blackpool this summer. The Gin Jamboree 'By the Sea', which takes place within the Pavilion & Horseshoe at Winter Gardens on Saturday 15th September, is hosted by the same team who broke the Guinness World Record for the largest gin tasting event in 2016.
The Gin Jamboree will feature up to 150 artisan gins with hundreds of tonic and garnish combinations for gin fans to try in search of their new favourite, with mixologists on hand to guide along the way. Gin fans will have the options of booking tutored Breakout Sessions, during the event to learn even more about the latest gins. Very limited places available!
Organiser Andrew Wilson, said; “We’ve been doing Gin Jamborees since 2010, and during that time have visited some fabulous venues, but nowhere as breath-taking as Blackpool’s Winter Gardens. To be able to come back to such a venue which has hosted The Beatles – Morecambe and Wise on 1,000 occasions – plus every British Prime Minister since World War II is very special indeed.”
Last year, the Gin Jamboree was held at the Empress Ballroom and saw the launch of Cuckoo Gin, a Lancashire based artisan gin which was the star of the night!
Andrew, who recently launched his own range of Old School Gin, added: “The turnout for our Gin Jamborees has been phenomenal – with events selling out in a matter of days – so we advise gin enthusiasts to book early to avoid missing out.”
“We have so many gins to try and every one of them is unique. The great thing about the new wave of artisan gins is they’re produced with great loving care by people who are keen alchemists and produced with quality in mind.”
The Gin Jamboree at Winter Gardens takes place between 12noon-5:00pm and 6:30pm-11:30pm and costs £15 per person, which includes a booklet describing all of the 150 different gins on offer, a gin ‘balloon’ glass to take home, delicious supper and a G&T on us. Entertainment is also provided. The event will be sponsored by GinTing®, one of the newest gins on the market.
