Welcome to the  Winter Gardens Membership Frequently Asked Questions page! As a valued visitor to the Winter Gardens, we understand that embarking on our membership program may raise questions. This insightful FAQ section aims to serve as your comprehensive guide, meticulously addressing inquiries for those embarking on their membership journey.

We offer four membership tiers: WG Member, WG Plus, WG VIP Plus, and U26. Each tier comes with unique benefits, which you can find in detail on our dedicated pages:


Each membership tier has an option to purchase a single membership or a joint membership.

We currently offer introductory prices:

  • WG Member: £15 single, £30 joint
  • WG Plus: £30 single, £60 joint
  • WG VIP Plus: £55 single, £100 joint
  • U26: £12.50 single, £25.00 joint

With a single membership the membership benefits apply only to you, for example you will only be able to purchase 1 membership rate show ticket and any additional tickets will be charged full price.
With the joint membership the benefits apply to the main account  holder plus 1 guest.

You can join in two ways:

  1. In person: Visit the Winter Gardens Box Office and purchase your membership there.
  2. Online: Head to our membership page and sign up for your chosen membership tier.

All membership sales are final and cannot be cancelled.

Log in to your account here. Once logged in, go to the “My Account” section to manage your membership details.

Your membership is valid for one year from purchase date.

Yes, memberships are annual. You’ll need to purchase a new membership when your current year is up. You’ll receive a new membership card with your renewal.

Discounts vary depending on your membership level and the current shows and events. Please visit our membership pages for the latest offers

Some membership tiers offer a 10% discount on food and drinks at the Empress Coffee Bar and Bistro and the rear stalls confectionary outlet. Please refer to the terms and conditions for details.

We are currently developing exciting exclusive events and activities for our members. Stay tuned for updates!

Membership benefits are exclusive to the member. Guests do not receive any discounts or other perks.

Booking Shows and Events:

  • Box Office: Present your membership card to redeem member offers.
  • Phone: Inform the customer service representative that you’re a member and wish to redeem member offers.
  • Online: Log in to your account to access member prices.

Food and Drink Discount:

  • Show your membership card when placing your order.

Yes, memberships come with a membership card.  Membership cards will be available to collect from the Box Office within 7 days of membership purchase.

Photo ID will be required when collecting your membership and redeeming member offers.

Family memberships are not available but joint memberships for 2 people are available for each membership tier.

Unfortunately, gifting memberships is not currently possible. The benefits are linked to your account and cannot be transferred.
If you would like to gift someone a membership we would recommend purchasing a gift card for them that they can redeem for a membership.  You can purchase gift cards here 

You cannot change your membership tier after purchase. If you’d like the benefits of a different tier, you’ll need to purchase a new membership.

You may be asked to show ID to verify your age eligibility for the Under 26 membership.

Yes, you can have memberships for different types (e.g., WG Member and U26) and redeem benefits for each. However, if you purchase the same membership type twice, the benefits will not stack.
