Derham Lounge

Named after the man who created some of the most celebrated venues within the Winter Gardens complex, The Derham Lounge is a multi-purpose room.

Originally created in 1897 by John C Derham, the in-house architect for the Blackpool Tower Company, the Derham Lounge has taken on multiple forms over the past century.

With a capacity for 300 people, the Derham Lounge has been a restaurant and café, a reception area for the rest of the Winter Gardens, a bar area and a haven for record collectors. It was reclaimed by the Winter Gardens in 2013 and has since undergone restoration and stripped back to its original state, matching the clean, elegant décor of the Renaissance Room.

The Derham Lounge can be used as an exhibition space, a conference rooms, a drinks reception area or as a space for educational tours, with access to the rest of the complex.
