Join us for festive food, carols and Christmas craic at the Winter Gardens’ Empress Grill
With Christmas Day fast-approaching there is still time to take a lunch break or plan a festive lunch with family, friends or colleagues – and the beautiful Winter Gardens has something a little bit different to whet your yuletide appetite.
Pineapple Jack are in full swing tomorrow (Sunday 17th) and next Sunday (23rd) with their Festive Extravaganza. The much-loved singer/guitarist duo, famed for their Hawaiian shirts, will serenade you in Gillow’s Bar after you’ve enjoyed a tasty two-course with mulled wine. Jimmy, from Belfast, is known for his Irish wit and has worked with Irish showbands and as lead guitarist for rock band Atlantic Avenue. Mo, from Lancaster, has played with bands on a variety of tours, including travelling nationwide with American country singer Alan Ray. Both moved to Blackpool 30 years ago and their entertaining sets have earned them a firm fan base at the Winter Gardens, so you’ll be sure of some good Christmas Craic after an expertly cooked lunch. All for just £9.50.
If you fancy a mid-week treat, our resident pianist will be performing Christmas carols on Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th as you tuck into a traditional festive main course (with vegetarian options available) topped off with Christmas pudding and mulled wine. Also £9.50.
The Winter Gardens’ location is the ideal place to stop off for a break from Christmas shopping or work, or even a special impromptu lunch. You can check out the shows on offer while you’re there – starting with Peter Pan: A Festive Musical Adventure at Blackpool Opera, Saturday 16th December to Sunday 7th January.
