Gene Kelly will be Singin' In The Rain as the Hollywood star is recreated in a dramatic display in Blackpool Winter Gardens' Floral Hall.
The Pollinations is a new floral art display commissioned by Marketing Blackpool from an idea created by Showbizworks.

“Following the beautiful restoration of the Winter Gardens’ Floral Hall, we felt it was appropriate to create an event that would complement the glorious architecture. Pollinations pays homage to the days when this area was home to magnificent floral displays.”
More than 1,000 flowers will be used in the display which is expected to take a week to complete.

In March 2010 Blackpool Council purchased the Winter Gardens. Funding for the purchases and investment was secured from European Regional Development Fund, Homes and Communities Agency, Northwest Regional Development Agency and Blackpool Council. Following the acquisition the Winter Gardens is undergoing a major programme of refurbishment projects that has already seen extensive work to the entrances, Dome and Floral Hall, and the opening of the two new dining options under the operation of Heathcotes Outside. The Winter Gardens is operated on behalf of Blackpool Council by Crown Entertainment Centres Ltd.
