If you can’t wait that long then no fear, the Winter Gardens have got your back.

Ladies, this is your new Johnny Castle. You might recognise him from playing Nick Massi in the recent UK tour of Jersey Boys. Or from Ghost. Or Legally Blonde. Or frankly from a ton of things in the West End including: Priscilla, Rent and Whistle Down the Wind.

Don’t say we never treat you.

There has been an overwhelming demand for tickets from across the country, with over 150,000 tickets sold and over £5m taken. The more we look at Lewis Griffiths the more we understand why. Just because the Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story On Stage is in Blackpool for a whole three weeks doesn’t mean that tickets aren’t red hot!

Katie Hartland looks perfectly in-tune with Lewis in these shots. Katie is fresh from the The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Shes a true rising star. Whilst training she has already performed in West Side StorySweeney Todd, HayfeverA Midsummer Nights Dream and as Juliet in…well, the world’s most famous love story of course.

Carlie Milner

A dancer by trade, Carlie Milner will take on the role of Penny. She has the pedigree for the part though, having previously been a member of the ensemble in 2014 before covering, then securing, the role of Penny Johnson in 2015.

A Quality Cast

It’s not just about Johnny and Frances though. If you’re gonna pull off  ‘Hey! Baby’, ‘Hungry Eyes’, ‘Do You Love Me?’ and, crucially, ‘(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life’ then you need to to back it up with a class cast.

Julian Harries will play ‘Jake Houseman’, Simone Craddock – ‘Marjorie Houseman’, Roger Martin – ‘Max Kellerman’.

Dirty Dancing – The Classic Story on Stage is the ultimate live Dirty Dancing experience and these pics are doing it justice. This all new production of the record-breaking musical tells the story we all know, of Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman’s perfect summer as more than just Johnny Castle’s raunchy dance partner, but with all new flair and style rarely seen on the stage.

I was given the ticket for my birthday and went with my daughter-in-law to Friday night’s production.
Wow, I have always loved the movie and this certainly did it justice. The whole cast is superb but Lewis Griffiths
certainly stepped into Patrick Swayze’s shoes with incredible panache, kudos to him.
I can’t wait to come back for second helpings.
